Vietnam 2026: Solidarity and Consensus for a New Era

Joining Hands and Hearts to Firmly Step into 2026

The success of 2025 is not only the result of persistent and creative efforts but also a vivid testament to the power of the “Party’s will – People’s aspirations” and the great national unity bloc.

The year 2025 concluded with excitement, pride, and deep confidence in the country’s bright future. Amidst a world and region continuing to experience rapid, complex, and unpredictable fluctuations; where internal challenges intertwine with pressures of competition, transformation, and adaptation, Vietnam has steadfastly overcome all difficulties to reach the finish line early for most key objectives and targets.

The success of 2025 serves as a vivid testament to the spirit of patriotic emulation spreading strongly, crystallizing at the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress—a great festival of will, belief, and aspiration for development towards a mighty, prosperous Vietnam, firmly advancing towards socialism.

Overcoming Challenges, Affirming Bravery, Creating Outstanding Marks in 2025 2025 was a year of special significance in completing the goals of the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan (2021-2025). It marked an unprecedented milestone in implementing the revolution of “reorganizing the national landscape” (sắp xếp lại giang sơn), streamlining the political system and the two-tier local government, and preparing in all aspects for the successful organization of Party congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Party Congress.

Despite facing numerous challenges from both inside and outside, Vietnam maintained stability and achieved comprehensive milestones across socio-economic fields:

  1. Macroeconomic Stability: Growth was maintained at a reasonable level; inflation was controlled; industrial production, trade, and services recovered positively. Notably, foundational industries, manufacturing, energy, logistics, and the private economy showed distinct changes.
  2. Institutional Breakthroughs: Legal frameworks were refined towards synchronization and transparency. Administrative reform and national digital transformation were accelerated, improving the investment environment and reinforcing administrative discipline. This serves as a foundation to unlock resources and lead the country into an “era of national ascent.”
  3. Social Welfare & Culture: Policies on social security, poverty reduction, education, and healthcare were implemented effectively. National cultural identity was preserved, and the strength of the Vietnamese people was unleashed for national construction and defense.
  4. Defense & Security: National sovereignty and a peaceful environment were ensured. The People’s Army and People’s Public Security continued to be built as “elite, compact, and strong” forces. The “posture of the people’s hearts” (thế trận lòng dân) was increasingly consolidated.
  5. Foreign Affairs: International integration remained a bright spot, enhancing Vietnam’s prestige. Strategic and comprehensive partnerships were expanded, with economic diplomacy creating more room for development.
  6. Patriotic Emulation: The movement developed substantially, motivating all strata of people. The 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress highlighted the value: “Emulation is patriotism, patriotism must be emulation.”

In summary, the most impressive achievement of 2025 was Vietnam’s ability to maintain political stability and create momentum for comprehensive development amidst global volatility. This consolidated the people’s trust in the Party’s leadership and the State’s management.

Joining Forces for New Victories in 2026 In 2026, the country stands before new opportunities intertwined with challenges. While the Fourth Industrial Revolution accelerates, requiring urgent innovation in growth models, 2026 is notably the year of the 14th National Party Congress. This Congress is expected to open a new era of development with a long-term vision, aiming for prosperity and establishing a modern, sustainable development mode.

  • Defense & Diplomacy: Firmly safeguard sovereignty and actively integrate internationally.

To fulfill these glorious tasks, it is necessary to uphold the spirit of patriotism and consensus, turning the “Party’s will – People’s heart” into revolutionary action.
